Objective

Proper nutrition is essential for overall health, well-being, and quality of life. For individuals living with disabilities, good nutrition plays a crucial role in managing health conditions, enhancing physical and cognitive functioning, improving mood and energy levels, and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

Closing the Gap

This course combines self-paced online learning with a practical competency assessment delivered by your organisation’s Registered Nurse (RN).

​

Our goal is to ensure support workers have the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills needed to safely assist clients living with PEG feeding devices—while staying within their scope of practice and following organisational and clinical best-practice guidelines.

Course Structure

This course is delivered in two parts:

Online Self-Paced Modules & Practical Competency with Your RN

Access bite-sized training units covering:

  • Understanding PEG feeding

  • Equipment and safety

  • Hygiene and infection control

  • Feed preparation and administration

  • Troubleshooting & complications

  • Documentation & reporting

  • Quizzes

Certification

Upon completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance and acknowledging their participation and efforts to imporve knowledge in PEG Care.
