Medicare Billings

Please be aware that Medicare only covers up to 5 sessions per calendar year for all allied health professionals, including dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and chiropractors etc. If you have already used these 5 sessions, Medicare will not cover any additional sessions. In such cases, you will be responsible for covering the session costs.

To ensure transparent billing and to avoid unexpected charges, kindly inform us if you have already seen any allied health therapists this year. This information will help us keep your billing records up-to-date and assist you in making informed decisions regarding your healthcare services.

Cancellation Fee

The Dietitian want to be available for your needs and the needs of other patients. When a patient does not show for a scheduled appointment, other patients lose the opportunity to be seen.

You can cancel or change your dietitian appointment without incurring any fees, as long as you make the changes by 4pm the day before your appointment. Any cancellations after or “no-show” to your appointments will attract a cancellation fee of $20. No part of this fee can be claimed back from Medicare.

If you are unable to attend the clinic physically due to unwell or transportation issues, Telehealth appointment is available.
